Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
